Struts and other frameworks
I have started to learn Struts which is an open source framework for building web applications. There are some nice features in this framework and I am trying now to get a hold on them.
There are more frameworks out there in the Internet realm, some better then others. Here are some of them that I know:
- Krysalis - http://www.kompletecms.com/products/krysalis/overview/, an InterAKT made PHP framework based on a XML/XSLT core that offers SOAP support for web service implementation. Comes along with it’s own IDE - KrysalIDE.
- Fusebox - http://www.fusebox.org/, a framework for ColdFusion, PHP, J2EE and ASP. Is quite popular and the concepts are easy to understand.
- Mach II - http://www.mach-ii.com/. A great supporter of this framework is Sean Corfield which I had the pleasure to meet at CFUN 2004. This framework has evolved from Fusebox MX.
- Struts - http://struts.apache.org/ the framework I learn now.
For sure there are a lot more frameworks but this four are the ones I know. I will return with more on this subject.
